UK Association of Gypsy Women
The UK Association of Gypsy Women's goal is the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation or religion: while advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity in particular the issues faced by Romany Gypsy women and their families: Promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds in particular educating the public in the history and culture in the Romany Gypsy way of life: Cultivating a sentiment in favor of equality and diversity while seeking to advance the education of Romany Gypsy women and their families.
UKAGW is managed solely by English Romany Gypsy Women to improve the quality of life for Gypsy women & their families. Our aims are to seek equality for and in respect of human and civil rights issues, including issues affecting accommodation, health care, education and employment.
UKAGW is a central organization dealing with issues relating to Romany Gypsies throughout the UK, it has representation in Scotland and Wales through members of the community.
