Janie Codona - A Romany Gypsy by birth, who has spent large part of life travelling around UK with family, married and both a Mother and Grandmother,

Employed by Ormiston, A children's rights charity, as manager of Norfolk Travellers Initiative Project working to support members of the Gypsy & Traveller community via advocacy.

Member of many organisations on a National International level dealing with Human Rights and Equality, Re Gypsy & Traveller issues. NTAG, One Voice, etc.

Member of Metropolitan Police Gypsy & Traveller Advisory Group (GTAG) and Bedfordshire Police Independent Advisory Group (BEDS IAG).

Have undertaken training on Human Rights, The Framework Convention for National Minorities (FCNM) & Committee to eliminate all forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD) and equal opportunities training, and uses this training in both employed and voluntary roles.

Have been involved in policy development and worked with government on both central and local level.

Member & Substitute delegate representing women to European Roma & Travellers Forum (ERTF) & International Roma Women's Network (IRWN) working to help raise the profile of Gypsy women in politics, to promote equality for women.

Mentors young people from The Gypsy & Traveller community on issues regarding policy development, consultation, Human Rights, diversity training, promoting & helping to preserve the culture, history lifestyle of my community.
